GPRS attachment

Hello Q26 Users,

I am trying to access the GPRS commands on the Q26 Extreme module but can not get any of the basic commands to work. For example, AT+CGATT=1 returns a CME Error 3. Is there something I need to do the module to activate GPRS? Does it require port setting using WMFM?

I have tried many things to get it to work. I uploaded the WIPsoft application to it and ran it but it refused to recognise any of the WIP commands.

I wondered if anyone else has been able to access the GPRS features?

Is your unit GSM registered - check CREG

(you need GSM registration before GPRS registration)

I have just checked my CREG status. This is what I have done:

at+creg?
+CREG: 0,1
OK

at+creg=1
OK
+CREG: 1

at+creg?
+CREG: 1,1
OK

at+creg=2
OK
+CREG: 1,“006B”,“000039FA”,0

at+creg?
+CREG: 2,1,“006B”,“000039FA”,0
OK

at+cgatt?
+CME ERROR: 3

So I would say that it is GSM registered.

Still no GPRS activity though.

Hiya,

Sounds like it’s time to talk to your distributor.

I seem to recall that some of the very early Q26Extreme modules had some firmware issues like those you are describing.

ciao, Dave

Hi,

The problem has been resolved. Thanks to all who helped. The firmware was wrong and has been corrected by my distributor.
