GPRS Attach failed : AT+CGATT=1

Hi all,
i have a wavecom fastrack and i am located in tunisia, our operator support GPRS ans my SIM Card is GPRS Enabled, i have tested it in my mobile phone and also support wap features.
When i inserted the SIM in wavecom module, the equipment dont replay for GPRS command and i cannot make a GPRS Attach.
Can someone help me ?

Hi,

I guess you should define APN before attaching to GPRS.
You can do this with AT+CGDCONT command.

Try detaching from the GSM and then attach to the GPRS, provided your all other setting are configured.

If I remember correctly, you cannot be attached to both.

Have you solved the problem? It seems to me strange according to your parameters. If your SIM card is really GPRS enabled i think it is someway an incompatibility problem. Try to use the latest gsm core software. (6.55 or 6.57)

In case of GSM voice call that modem is CLASS B so you can be attached to both GPRS and GSM. (GPRS suspended during voice call or SMS).

You can attach to GPRS without activating a PDP context.
