FX30S on a VMWare host

Hi

I have a FX30S connected via USB to a Dell server running VMWare ESXi 6.7

When I add the USB Controller and USB Host device to the virtual machine it shows up correctly in the vsphere client as FX30S. and then install the driver (GenericDriverSetup.exe) on a Windows 2012 R2 server it doesn’t recognize the device correctly. See attached screen shot of device manager.

I confirmed the device is working OK on Windows 10 machine and a physical Windows 2012 R2 server using the same driver.

Any ideas?

@ambulance,

As a rule it is not recommended to work with virtual machines there is just too much of a gap/software between the FX30 USB and the OS you are trying to work with, it is very hit and miss.
