EM8695 voice calls

Hi there! I’ve got my hands on an EM8695 and a Techship MC201 USB-C module. I’m trying to have it make or accept a voice call, but I see the following error when trying to establish a call with mmcli:

Dec 01 21:45:07 - ModemManager[407963]: <wrn> [1764596707.194712] [modem0/call3] couldn't start call: Couldn't create call: QMI protocol error (48): 'InvalidArgument'

When calling the modem, I can hear the dial tone but mmcli –voice-list-calls shows no incoming calls.

Any help, how can I investigate it further?

Is there any recent module that supports 5G voice calls?

Unfortunately, I don’t quite see the EM91 or EM92 is supporting voice function.

I wonder, is this a firmware thing?

It’s a bit surprising the recent hardware doesn’t support it. I think I saw people making voice calls with older modules.

what do you mean by older modules?
WP76? RC76? EM73?
