I think it has to do with whitelisting that Panasonic incorporates. I had no problems using whatever Sierra EM modules I wanted in the FZ-G1, but it seems the G2 has a whitelist for certain modules. I upgraded my computer to a newer model and that has the EM7595. Great module, but I’d much rather have 5G.
