Dell EM7455 no service - Orange Romania

Hi, I have a Dell 7480 (with windows 10) which come with EM7455 installed. I’m using an Orange Prepaid SIM Card.
In my connectivity menu I can see the Profile Orange but without service. I’ve tried to upgrade the firmware from here https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airprime/minicard/74xx/airprime-em_mc74xx-approved-fw-packages/#sthash.H1Aibj07.KkeCzNwI.dpbs using a generic one because there is no Orange and the KIT from Dell.

I saw something strange, Even I have only Orange, when I execute netsh mbn sh vis int=* , I see a Digi Mobil (226 05) network (another Romanian operator) as being permitted and the Telekom Mobile (22606) as being Forbidden. But there is no Orange (226 10)
Please help!

Hi cristian,

Could you please provide some information about your module and SIM card using below commands?

Hi, can you please help me and tell me how?
I saw taht the AT commands are sent through the putty terminal. In Device manager i can find the device as having the COM7 port but using the putty connection it can’t connect to it.

The funny thing is that I’ve bought a Digi Mobil SIM card (22605) and it works perfectly. So the problem now is that the modem is locked only to be used with few (and poor) operators.

I am happy to hear it is working now.

Hi, I have similar problem, seing two operators but not Telenor. We have tried the SIM in a phone and it seems to work fine.

Attached are replies from netch command

Just a follow up to clearout any misunderstanding. This is NOT a Dell computer but similar behavior running on a mITX-CFL-S motherboard from Kontron, the EM7455 supplied by Kontron as well.
