+cms : error: 315

Hy,

I try to send a SMS on a private lte network, but when i use the AT+CMGS command to send a SMS.
I’ve got a ERROR 315 = SIM ERROR

AT+CMGS=0123456789
>Hello
+CMS ERROR: 315

I use text format SMS (AT+CMGF=1)

The Sim card used was a sysmocom with SMS capability.
I be able to receive SMS

How I could investigate (log, configuration) ?

Hi @philippe.surbayrole

Can this SIM card send and receive SMS on another device or phone?
Which firmware version are you using? If you are not on the latest firmware, please download the latest one and retry.
HL78xx (HL7800/HL7800-M/HL7802) Firmware

I can send and receive SMS successfully on HL78XX firmware HL7800.4.6.8.0
ati3

HL7800.4.6.8.0

OK
at+csca?

+CSCA: “0690006000”,129

OK
at+cimi

001010000000007

OK
AT+CMGF=1

OK
AT+CMGS=“0600000007”

HELLO
+CMGS: 89

OK

+CMTI: “ME”,1
AT+CMGS=0600000007

HELLO2
+CMGS: 90

OK

+CMTI: “ME”,2

I’ve restart working on this SMS problem.

We use SysmoCom SIM card with Amarisoft network.

My parameters seems good :

AT+CSCA?
+CSCA: "+33689004000",145
OK
AT+CIMI
208930000024016
OK

But I’ve always CMS ERROR 315 when I send SMS.
Is there specific parameters to set in Sim card ?
And how to found what generate the “CMS ERROR 315” in the HL78 ?

@philippe.surbayrole

What unit and firmware are you using? Also what bearer are you on? 2G with HL7802 yes it should work, M1 maybe, NB1 it won’t work (as there is no SMS on M1).

Regards

Matt

Hy Matt

We use the 4.6.8 firmware on LTEM CAT-M1 network.
We receive the SMS but I can’t send.

I search why the sierra HL78 make this CMS ERROR 315 !

@philippe.surbayrole

So the errors are found in the back of the AT command manual. I am looking at rev 14 page 273 and it states.

315 SIM wrong

So it might be that your SIM does not have the right to send SMS?

Regards

Matt

That’s the problem !
I’ve configured the parameters on the SIM to be able to send SMS. and SysmoCom Sim card are able to send SMS ( dixit specifications )
Wich SIM parameters are wrong for the HL78 and how to know ?
