Cannot downgrade from R17, WP76xx, mangoH green

I’ve tried both Windows one-click executable and linux swiflash as well, but when logging to the module I see that both Linux kernel and Legato versions are the same.
The reason for downgrading will be logged in another thread.

Any suggestions ?

It is not recommended to downgrade from r17

I thought this note is for over the air upgrades, can you confirm that it’s not possible to downgrade from R17 to R16.3, or is it just not recommended ?

I think it is not possible
Your test seems prove this

I’m in the same situation. I can’t downgrade from version 17 to version 16.
The bootloader seems to set the /dev/mtd size differently.
Is it right ?
If it is right, is there a way to download the bootloader?

currently i don’t see any method to downgrade…

Hey all,

So, just to get it straight, after we update a device to a BSP based on R17, we can not roll it back to a previous release? Even if we are talking about a development device using swiflash? Or this just for a FOTA scenario?

It’s a bit hard to understand this since I thought when we flash a BSP we completely wipe the old one.

The reason that I’m asking is because we have a few development devices in-house that we already updated to R17 that we would like to dedicate to some other tests based on older BSPs. We can simply flash them to an older BSP version using swiflash, right?

You need to contact distributor to get a special firmware for your developmemt module to go back to r16
