BC127-HD DISKIT Audio Out appears to be not working properly

I am observing very strange behaviour on a brand new BC127-HD DISKIT.

  • Plugging in several different sets of headphones into the audio out port results in mono audio only. Removing the plug slightly so it is not completely plugged in allows stereo audio.

  • Frequently touching the 3.5mm connection causes the device to reset and also lose all saved settings.

Am I going mad or is this board a dud?

Sounds like it might be a dud as you put it. You need to push it back through your commercial channel.
