AT!OPENMEP? unlock challenge

Hello, I am an owner of the Em9190 and it’s very similar to the modem present inside the Netgear M5, I can see it from the command syntax. I was wondering how to pass this challenge, since the sierra wireless present inside the m5 has the unlock code made of 15 digits, this one is pretty different:

AT!OPENMEP?
0001,!OPENMEP,BF91410739FB2CE7E9B50F3149CBBEE321BD1A746FBC1F31C58D1491BA2EC5B4,0002,4H1204035003A145

Can you please explain how to pass this challenge?
Do I have to make an explicit request via mail to obtain the unlock code, as Quectel does?

Yes, if you need to level-3 unlock the module, you need to contact distributor.

What do you mean level 3? What’s that?
I purchased this modem from aliexpress, not from distributor

what are you going to do actually?

AT!OPENLOCK is used for unlocking module

Yes I need to unlock the module to enable for example shell access via ssh or via ADB

other than contacting distributor, i don’t see other ways to unlock the module

BTW, why do you need to access ADB?

You don’t have any access to your keygen to unlock the product you actually are selling on your website?

I am trying to enable PCIe RC mode, where the EM9190 acts as a router

I guess distributor should have this access

seems this is out of the specification of EM91 module:

The last line you highlighted is “Host is the PCIe Root complex (RC) node”
That is what I’m trying to enable

Shell access is necessary for proper development for example to add additional scripts or software, internal webui, etc.

Quectel modems provide this via an AT command: AT+QCFG=”pcie/mode”,1

What is the equivalent for sierra wireless modules such as this EM9190?

“host” does not mean the EM91 module

i don’t see there is similar command for this purpose
