AirLink LS300 Low Power Mode

We’re pretty new to the nuts and bolts side of these GPS units. We have one of these units in a car and notice that after a few minutes of the car being off, the unit disappears from our maps. I’ve heard that the GPS can be wired differently so the power stays on, but I’ve also heard that these units can be set to stay on for say 2 hours after the car is turned off. I’ve been looking at the Low Power Mode in the ACEManager but I’m not quite sure of the differences between the options. What I’d like to do is have the car shut down but the GPS stay on for 2 hours after. That way we can know if a vehicle has been dormant at a location rather than just not in use. I’m thinking I could set the Time Delay to 120 minutes and that would work for me, but I wanted to double-check that what I was thinking was actually the correct way to handle this. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

120 min delay would work but it also depends on how you wire the ignition sense (white wire/pin 3). If you have no done so already I would suggest Page 202 of our ALEOS user guide which provides a summary of all the low power mode settings in the modem.
