Q2698 SPI1 Voltage Level

Hi all,
We want to upgrade our device (now we are using Q2687) with Q2698.
The device have to communicate with uSD using SPI1.
Using Q2687 all works fine. We are trying to set up the communication between Q2698 and uSD card on Q26DevKit.
We are using GPIO19 as SPI_CS.
Q2698 Datasheet reports a 2.8v SPI1 level but in our test SPI1 seems has a voltage level of 1.8v instead of 2.8v.
What’s wrong?

Thank you

Hiya,

Have you had a good look at the differences in the pin-outs between the Q2687 and the Q2698? They’re not exactly pin-for-pin compatible.

You might have something on the dev board holding the pin voltages down…

ciao, Dave

Hi Dave,
thank you,
Referring to AirPrime_Q2698_Migration_Guide, the only difference in SPI1 port seems to be the Chip Select pin, which is moved from pin_22 to pin_45.
I don’t see any other changes.

Emanuele

Hi all,
pictures attached show the differences between Q2687 and Q2698 SPI_1 clock (blue line) + MOSI (yellow line) on Q26DevKit.
The CLK lines are similar (frequency and voltage level) but MOSI in Q2698 is smaller than MOSI in Q2687.
Q2687 running 7.52 fw, and Q2698 running B7.52.A1 WP11.
The uSD on SPI_1 works on Q2687 but doesn’t work on Q2698.
Referring to AirPrime_Q2698_Migration_Guide, the only difference in SPI1 port seems to be the Chip Select pin, which is moved from pin_22 to pin_45.

Any help will be appreciated
Emanuele

Firmware B7.52.A1 WP11 is to my knowledge extremely old.
Talk to your FAE for a newer firmware.
I don’t know if they have released any non-beta firmware yet, but you should at least be able to get something newer than what you are running now.

hello

do you have Q2698 in stock , i would like take 300pcs
