Q2438 CDMA module can be a TCP/IP socket server?

Hi,

Do anyone knows Q2438 CDMA module can be a TCP/IP socket server?
Coz spec dun really states it in detail.

which means when I connect my module on my board, it can automatically be a server and “listening” waiting for transmission from other socket clients?

Anyone experienced this and share their experience to me pls? and How? Thanks a lot.

You must first be sure that your telecomunication company can provide you with a SIM card that supports Static IP GPRS connection. Usally companies don’t have this feature. Otherwise you can only use client socket on your module.

THanks for your reply first, So, you mentioned about SIM card? that means GSM? So how about CDMA? what u mean is need to know the carrier can provide that kind of feature either using GSM / CDMA?
