Note that Wavecom’s XMODEM downloading does seem to require the use of hardware flow control.
That could well suggest that you have a flow-control problem: the modem’s buffers are probably sufficient that they can always cope with the 128 byte XMODEM blocks…
The trouble is, of course, that this is much slower than 1K-XMODEM!
