Hi, I’m the developer of a software that uses GL and FX series to send out SMS via AT command output using serial communication (com port). I’ve a customer who is asking me if it is possible to use a gateway such as the GX450 to send SMS through IP (LAN). I saw a USB ethernet driver under the driver download page of the GX450. Can I use the driver to communicate with the GX450 through IP using serial communication? Or have I misunderstood the purpose of the USB ethernet driver? Thanks in advance for any guidance.
From my online research, this is not possible, correct me if I’m wrong. The only way is to use Airlink IP protocol that uses UDP to send and receive SMS from a LAN computer.
