MC7710 not recognized in Debian 6.0.6

Hi all,

I’ve installed drivers for MC7710 in Debian, both serial and ethernet (direct IP mode).

However, MC7710 is not recognized. I don’t have any USB port assigned to the modem.

dmesg

[ 63.764995] usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 3
[ 64.222067] usb 1-2: config 1 has an invalid interface number: 7 but max is 5

Some errors appear.

What could be wrong? My kernel is 2.6.32-5-686

Thanks in advance

Up and running on kernel 3.12.9

Well, I don’t know why you get this error, but there is no need to try to install any drivers as long as you get this. There is something very basic wrong with your USB connection and/or modem.

I don’t know if this is related. Could be unless you expect it… What kind of host is this module connected to? Doesn’t it support ehci?
