MC7700 + Panasonic CF19K => 4G No Service :(

Hello everybody. Installed this Sierra Wireless MC7700 into a mk3 Panasonic CF19K. Driver installed without problems . The conection manager Skylight also installed. Configured one profile for APN … Network selection left on Automatic. It conect to (DIGI) the provider of the SIM card belong on 2G EDGE at ridiculos 3kbps. Windows say: Internet access … but the browsers dont catch anything … If i change in Skylight to Manual network selection, it search for a while and give me a list with a bunch of providers … If I chose the 3G DIGI or 4G DIGI provider, I get No Service. I know 100% that this provider NOT have DATA service broadcast on 2G or 3G. On 2G DIGI have the GSM voice, 3G was totaly closed
DIGI provider have ONLY 4G LTE on the folowing frequences:
2100 Mhz (band 1 - FDD) - 75 Mbps download și 21 Mbps upload
2600 Mhz (band 38 - TDD) - 100 Mbps și 10 Mbps upload
I really not know why I get no service on 4G LTE selecition.
I called the support center and they not want to listen to my problem they know only “phones” … not laptops
Thanks for any input

About the using latest FW… I had try all the FW versions from the MC7700 Firmware Package History download page. None change the actual situation.
Should I program [MC7700 ATT approved firmware SWI9200X 03.05.29.03 QMI] the latest FW again?
Thank you and Best regards

How about

AT!BAND=?

Not sure if your module supports band 1…

BTW, you can try the latest FW and see what happens.

have you entered correct APN for this SIM card in AT+CGDCONT?

I think yes. This provider require APN: internet …
AT+CGDCONT?

+CGDCONT: 1,“IP”,“internet”,“0.0.0.0”,0,0

OK
Following connection profiles are available,

CID-> 1
PDP Type->IP
APN->internet
PDP Address->0.0.0.0
Data Compression->0
Header Compression->0

This look strange to me… in the skylight after search, I chose the provider DIGI 4G , but when I return to network selection, available networks, it say *Unknown

can you sim card register LTE network on band 1?
It is strange that AT!GSTATUS shows not registered.

I dont know… the provider say his 4G DATA are on 2100 Mhz (band 1 - FDD) and 2600 Mhz (band 38 - TDD)
I put the SIM card into a tablet and configure APN: internet and it conect just fine on LTE 4G.
Something is wrong on my side…
It conects only on 2G GPRS EDGE where the provider not have data service… just GSM voice (and posible internet over the GSM). This SIM is only DATA to use modems or tablets. Tested well into a Google NEXUS 7 2013

does it connect band 1 in your google phone/tablet?

Google NEXUS is a 7 inch tablet it have no GSM (phone) capability. I have no ideea on what band it conects.
Back to laptop. If I choose in Skylight after network search… if I choose the 2G DIGI I get this:
AT!GSTATUS?

!GSTATUS:
Current Time: 5203 Temperature: 32
Bootup Time: 1 Mode: ONLINE
System mode: GSM PS state: Attached
GSM band: GSM900
GSM channel: 24

RX level (dBm): -54.7500 LAC: 02BC (700)
GPRS State: GPRS STANDBY Cell ID: 0000A7E5 (42981)

OK

Windows even say Internet access… everything look ok but it not have real access… in browser the google page open in 10 minutes for real… browser say no internet conection or site take too long time to respond
When swich to 4G DIGI from the search list I say no service (in list there are more providers but the others are forbiden)

there should be some android application to show what band it is connecting in tablet

Will pull out the SIM and put it into tablet then search for a program that is able to show the bands… Will get back shortly

how about setting the band to AT!BAND=0 ?
BTW, do you have other operator to test?

I had give that comand early when I read “Unknown band mask. Use AT!BAND to set band.”
Comand ok, but nothing changed, no service in the Skylight
I have no other SIM from some other provider… When scan there are others like vodafone or orange … they are forbiden,
Why it conect 2G GPRS EDGE

no idea, you need to check with operator Digi

have you tried newer FW?

I have call them and they not wanna hear of this sort of problems. Only phones… they probably know only to browse phone menu and set APN: internet and that’s all.
I program all the FW that was on the official page…
I have no ideea what is the difference between the DIP and QIM … one worked to program the other dont

the only advice left is to test on other operator
