LS300 IPSec performance/problems

Hello,

Are you guys happy with LS300 IPSec? We have ~10 devices (ALEOS 4.4.1 mostly) each running one VPN tunnel (p1: g2, aes128, sha1; p2: g2, aes128, sha1) and have some problems:

  • VPN throughput… In some places we have other brand’s devices side by side with LS300 running OpenVPN tunnels with double throughput compared to LS300 IPSec…
  • CPU load is ~1.7 during data transfers over tunnels…
  • LS300 become unresponsive (we can not access them over internet) when we try to transfer many large files and do not limit transfer rate… It becomes unresponsive (does not respond to ping, can not access management) after approx. half an hour of data transfer… We have to reboot them sending SMS… We could blame data carrier, but those other brand’s devices with OpenVPN using the same data carrier does not have this problem…

We would be grateful for any ideas/suggestions?

For this particular case, I would recommend a case with your reseller/distributor who should have the appropriate contacts within Sierra Wireless to help diagnose this problem.
