Linux EM7355 not available after suspend

Hello!
I have the
HP lt4111 LTE/EV-DO/HSPA+ Gobi 4G Module
in my Fedora laptop.
Bus 002 Device 008: ID 03f0:4e1d HP, Inc HP lt4111 LTE/EV-DO/HSPA+ Gobi 4G Module

It works, but after suspend to RAM, it sometimes doesn’t show up in the ModemManager, but in lsusb.

dmesg doesn’t show anything related.

How can I further diagnose that?

If I enter suspend again, it sometimes works after that.

kind regards
Marco

are you using the MBPL USB driver?
https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airprime/software/mbpl/mbpl-software-latest/#sthash.ZXRwiiKx.DJxZAua5.dpbs

I use the drivers that Fedora provides. I had to install gobi_loader to make it work. I also had to enable the FCC unlock scripts.
I didn’t install anything else.

maybe you need to have a try on MBPL USB driver which supports kernel 4.4 or newer

It includes 3 different kernel versions.
Does it also work for newer kernels?

I don’t want to crash my system.
I am running
6.9.7-200.fc40.x86_64

and I tried to use insmod, but it doesn’t accept this module.

m@localhost:/tmp/bin/Ubuntu_x64/5.3.0-55-generic$ sudo insmod ./mhictrl.ko
[sudo] Passwort für m:
insmod: ERROR: could not insert module ./mhictrl.ko: Invalid module format
m@localhost:/tmp/bin/Ubuntu_x64/5.3.0-55-generic$

I think you download the wrong driver, it should be usb driver which needs to be recompiled in your platform
