Hi friends,

I got good response to my 1st doubt in openAT.Thanks a lot.

Now i have a one doubt like can we send sms as soon as we switch on modem.I am using Q2406 wavwcom modem and openAT3.0.Can pls anyone pls help me.I want to send a sms to a sim as soon as i switch on modem.

No, you can’t.

It takes the modem itself a while to start-up; then it takes a while for the modem to search for a valid network, and register onto the network.
Only once all this is complete can you start making & receiving calls, texts, etc.

See the +WIND:4 indication

Maybe you could look into the low-power (or “power-down”) modes…?
