Is Sierra Wireless EM7565 Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X16 LTE-A certified for Telus in Canada?

Hi there,

I’ve installed a Sierra Wireless EM7565 (Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X16 LTE-A) on my Ubuntu system and am trying to connect to the Telus network here in Canada. Unfortunately, the connection drops after a few hours.

Could you please confirm whether this modem is certified for use on the Telus network in Canada? Based on the documentation I found here, that appears to be the case. If it is certified, could you suggest steps to troubleshoot the connection issue?

Thank you in advance.

I ca see there is Telus certified firmware here:

Thank you @jyijyi I installed that version of the firmware it is SWI9X50C_01.07.02.00 6c91bc jenkins 2018/06/13 23:08:16, and the device is not working. This firmware is 12 years old.

So that is why I’m wondering if the device is still certified, and if so, which version of the firmware/drivers should I use.

Thank you in advance.

the firmware was built in 2018 , should be just 7 years old.
But I don’t see there is further certified firmware for Telus for EM7565…

BTW, have you tried the GENERIC one?

@jyijyi I don’t see a recent firmware certified for Telus as well, so that is why I’m wondering if the device is still certified. Can you please clarify this point ?

Telus will not accept devices which are not certified on their network, so I’ll not be able to proceed regardless the firmware.

If it is certified, I can definitively test with the one you suggest.

Thank you again for your help !

you might need to try other module like EM7411 which certified Telus with newer firmware:
