Interfacing BC127 UART header Tx-RX with development board

Hi,

I am using BC127 module with our development board, where i have connected TTL level Tx pin from my development board to Rx of BC127 UART header and
TTL level Rx pin with Tx of BC127 UART header. And powering the BC127 module through USB-UART cable connected to my developmet board. Will this cause any
problem to BC127 module?

@manish,

I guess as long as you do not open the AT through the USB interface then it will be ok, If you are just powering it with a USB power source then it won’t be connected to anything so it will be fine.

@mlw,

Thanks for your reply.

FTR232 chip will be active & so its TX pin. In this scenario we connect TX from external device through UART header… then it is like two gates output together. is this OK.
also one board now is not working… not sure what went bad.

@manish,

I can’t really say for certain but if it works great. Dev kits are really only intended to be used as a reference/in the early stages of a design to get up and running before dedicated hardware comes along so that you can start working on a given real application.

@mlw,

Thanks Matt.
