Icera reset

Hello,
currently we’re getting the following error about 5 times a day:

We’re using Q26Extreme with Firmware R7.46 (OpenAT V6.36).
Seaching in internet, I found out, that there is a “Power-Management IC for ICERA Platform” (MAXIM).

Could anybody give me a hint, what’s the reason of this error?

Thanks,
Oliver.

Hi,

WIP_CERR_NETWORK_UNREACHABLE -988 may be received when the network is down or is not reachable. So try connetcing to a
different server. Also try stopping the bearer and closing it, before you try to start a bearer again.

Hi,

Not sure how you get yours ICERA reset but one can obtained relatively easy by enabling GPRS channel and periodically run AT+CSQ command from software to get RSSI status. Leave it for a while and you will get ICERA reset. At this stage, OpenAT will attempt to recover, but does not always succeeds. For some reason, you can get that reset much more often on some modules.

Sierra Wireless can not fix the issue, as ICERA is no more and service contract with them expired.
