I have a thinkpad t460s which i added a sierra wireless EM7455. However, the mobile network is not working.
I suspect it is a software issue. I am unable to update firmware. I am running Fedora 37.
When I attempt to run:
sudo qmi-firmware-update -d “$deviceid” --update SWI9X30C_02.38.00.00.cwe SWI9X30C_02.38.00.00_GENERIC_002.082_000.nvu

i get the output:
loading device information before the update...
error: couldn't open QMI device: Operation timed out: device is closed
I also am reading that I need to install MBPL, however, I can not figure out how to install it. Is there a guide to set it up?
