How do I configure an RV50 modem to install Ubiquiti antennas and have internet access at another location?

Hello, I have a device collecting data in an area where there is no coverage. I installed an RV50 modem in an area where there is coverage. Now I want to extend the network with Ubiquiti N2 antennas as an access point.
I set them up, but I can’t access the internet. Could you help me? What information do I need to enter in the access point so I can access the internet through it?
Thank you very much
Greetings

Hi @arcadio,

Welcome to our community!

From the topic description, I understand that you’re trying to configure the RV50 as a Wi-Fi access point so that other devices can connect to it, is that right?

If that’s correct, please kindly provide the following additional information:

  1. Which mobile carrier’s SIM are you using?

  2. Has the router received the APN and connected to the network yet? If not, try setting the APN manually and see if it can connect.
Please refer to page 95 of the AirLink RV50X Software Configuration Guide at the following link: source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_reference_docs/airlink-rv-series—configuration-guide/

  3. Please share screenshot of the WAN/Cellular “SIM Slot Configuration” section and the Wi-Fi tab with me.

  4. If the router still can’t connect to the network, kindly share the log file and the template file as well.

Thanks,

Good morning, thanks for answering. The router already has the SIM card and other information configured and has access. The problem I’m having is with a device that’s about 150 meters away in an area where there’s no coverage. My plan is to connect one Wi-Fi antenna (Ubiquiti Nanostation N2) as a repeater and the other to the device, so I can access the internet through that. Because I don’t think the router’s Wi-Fi will reach the device.

I don’t have a router at the moment. In case it’s essential that I send you the requested information?

Thank you very much.
