HL7539 GPIO3 pin Setting

I left GPIO3 unconnected(left open) on the HL7539 in the board I designed.

In that case, would it be okay to disable the SIM detect setting?

If the SIM detect setting is enabled, what kind of problems would be noticed?

I saw that you can disable sim detect with +KSIMDET command, you can make a trial on that command.

why do you still enable SIM detect if you have left GPIO3 opened?
