Hi,
I have a GL6110 which I have used to send and receive messages for a number of years with no issue, since about March I have been receiving extended messages from my network provider. Firstly it appears extended messages aren’t supported properly and secondly it appears eight bit characters such as the £ sign are corrupted.
When receiving a multipart message the modem returns the message to me in its raw state with the 6 byte header telling me how many messages there are, order, length etc. This would seem to indicate it does not support multipart as otherwise I would presume it would simply return the whole message once received.
Could you confirm if the GL6110 supports extended messages and 8 bit?
Do I need to upgrade the firmware? If so how do I determine the current version?
Thanks
Duncan
