I am using the MTDBLOCK5 (/mnt/userrw) to store elements which need to survive a factory reset.
This partition is only 5MB big, so I’m quickly reaching its limit.
I have 2 questions for you:
What are the Sierrawireless files stored in this partition for? Can I remove them?
The block size of this partition is 4KB, could you give hints to change this block size to 2KB to store more efficiently small files?
Hello Christian,
The userrw partition contains the power management controller binary, configuration information and configuration backups.
I would recommend not removing any of these files to ensure your device functions properly.
BR,
Chris
