I still don’t think you can buy a normal AT&T SIM card inside Sierra Store… (which eventually is not using AT&T usual APN “broadband”)
That is why I keep on asking you to test with normal SIM
I am sorry, but you are incorrect. I did buy 2 verizon sims and 2 AT&T sims in the Sierra store.
ECC AT&T-CC Triple CONS
ECC Verizon-CAT M Triple CONS - low usage
From my Airvantage portal.
ATT card purchased through Sierra and on AirVantage portal. Data has been coming in for over a week.
Pics of 2nd card.
then you still think they are normal AT&T SIM card, right?
They are what Sierra told me to use. Once again, this needs to be elevated to someone in tech support.
If you work for tech support, please tell me who to contact.
I just dug out the trial ATT sim that ATT sent me last fall, which I used on my original Octave unit I had purchased a while back but never activated. It is the EXACT same card.
i have no idea
never use this kind of SIM card.
The easiest way to move forward is to buy some more normal SIM card for official AT&T /Verizon store so that you can draw a conclusion whether the changing APN behavior is related to SIM card.
Good luck!
Verified with SIM card product manager at Sierra / Semtech…
Thanks for reaching out. You are using the correct APNs:
Verizon: num.vzwentp
AT&T: nmrx11.com.attzThis could be a hardware issue.
Initially I tried to buy AT&T sim cards at the local AT&T store and they do not carry them and do not even know what you need. Wasted 2 hours trying to do that when I first got the FX30.
Hi, might be worthy to untick Windows setting “Let Windows keep me connected” which can force writing APNs to FX30 when USB is connected. The Windows can treat FX30 as a dumb modem and try to “dial-up”.
