EM7565 GPS extra fields in NMEA sentences?

We’re currently parsing nmea sentences from a 7565 and it seems like there is an extra field that’s been added to GPGSV and GPRMC. Couldn’t find any documentation about it online so I thought I’d ask here and see if anyone knows what these new fields mean.

The ‘1’ before the checksum seems to be the new field for GPGSV and the ‘V’ before the checksum in GPRMC. I have not gotten any other values besides 1 and V.

Example sentences:
$GPGSV,3,2,10,15,11,188,28,05,78,025,21,03,288,25,21,243,1*65
$GPRMC,180819.00,A,4004.948780,N,08308.068660,W,0.0,0.0,180918,4.8,W,A,V*44

@ObiJuan,

I have looked at it and yes it does seem to be an additional parameter, no idea where this is coming from. I have pushed it back to the product manager to comment on/ask the dev team. Unless someone else has any words of wisdom who knows more about NMEA suggest you push it back to your commercial channel to ask the question officially.

Regards

Matt
