EM7565 fail to upgrade firmware from AirVantage

Hi,
I was trying to update a FW to a module I have and without any success…
The module is connected to AirVantage and I can see that it is online and Sync:

When I try to upgrade the FW it fails each time with the following error:
Upgrade failure [Invalid URI]

I looked online and didn’t find any solution…

Watching this thread, I’m experiencing the same problem with my EM7565. Heartbeats are working just fine, and the device is online but no matter which image I choose to update it fails with “Upgrade failure [Invalid URI]” every time. I’m currently running “EM7565 GENERIC Release 15 (MDM_SWI9X50C_01.14.02.00_PRI_9907259-002.035.000)” and I double checked my APN is correct.

Could you please take a look at the below question/concern and share your answers?

  1. Which firmware is your device currently running, and which firmware do you intend to upgrade to?
  2. Please provide additional screenshots or error messages related to ‘Upgrade failure [Invalid URI]’.
  3. Is this issue occurring on multiple devices or just one EM7565? If it’s only one, please try updating with a different EM7565 to see if the issue persists.
  4. If possible, kindly share the URL link to the device’s system on AirVantage with me.
  5. Also, please provide the following AT command along with the AT command log when performing the firmware update:

AT+WDSI?
AT+WDSS?
AT+WDSC?
AT+WDSG

  1. This is the FW I’m running: EM7565 GENERIC Release 20 (MDM_SWI9X50C_01.14.13.00_PRI_9907259-002.048.000)
    I want to upgrade to : EM7565 GENERIC Release 15 New Driver (MDM_SWI9X50C_01.14.02.00_PRI_9907259-002.035.003)

Hi @tal.weinberg,

In the release note, it is mentioned that:

“Updated PRI from 002.035_000 to add bootloader support for new flash memory ID and anti-rollback mechanism.”

This means you cannot downgrade from the new firmware to the old firmware.
