EM7455 connects automatically to auto provisioned APN

Hello all,

I have EM7455 installed on my tablet that running Windows 10 1803.
Cellular provider automatically provides private APN.

No APN is defined on Windows network connection manager, The modem is automatically connects to provisioned APN. Even if the modem is disabled, disconnected, or tablet in reboot state, I’m still able to ping the modem ip address. This is abnormal operation mode for the organization.

What can I do to disable modem auto connect? I want to set up APN manually and Windows connection manager will establish the connection when the modem is enabled.

From the symptom, it seems like a known issue that module replies to incoming ping request. The issue was fixed in 02.27.03.00 firmware. The firmware contains the fix for EM7455 is being approved but that for EM7430 is available here https://source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airprime/minicard/74xx/airprime-em_mc74xx-approved-fw-packages/

There is a switch ICMPINTSRVDIS in AT!CUSZTOM set to 1 in the new firmware.

Thank you for fast response. My modem is updated to the latest Generic firmware SWI9X30C_02.24.05.06. Do you know the estimate date when the new firmware will be approved?

Test cases are done, it’s approval pending, could be very soon.
