EM7421 Can't perform ping

Hi ,
I am using EM7421 modem on my private lte network (no internet is required)
I have managed to get a correct IP address
but I can’t perform ping between UE (with 7421 modem ) an other UEs
i can perform ping between others UEs.

is there a possibility that the modem block ICMP ?

Best Regards,
Lena

How about tcp/udp communication?

I Don’t know how to test tcp/udp communication
could you advise me ?

you can setup TCP/UDP server on one of the host platform, and then use another host platform to connect as TCP/UDP client.

Hi

I have tried to send UDP/TCP using iperf
I can see it doesn’t work

then it seems the data connection did not establish correctly

i can see the sim is register on the network
how can i make sure that the data connection is not established correctly ?

normally i will ping the google server 8.8.8.8, or do some FTP/HTTP operation.
But now you are using private network, not sure what you can do inside it

the basic operation
send ping, send udp/tcp
is there any modem settings that are related to the data connection?
the modem EM7421 is assembled inside a GETAC Tablet with windows 10
the other UEs that are connected to my cell are able to send ping and UDP/TCP packets between them and to the server.

have you tried some other SIM card with public network and see if the tablet can browse internet?

Have you shut down firewall of Windows?

I Just have tried to connect to public network, i have entered the correct APN and still it could not connect to internet and no ping to 8.8.8.8. it did registered and receive ip.

yes the firewall is off

no idea, seems nothing is working on your side
Is the SIM card working fine on other device?

yes
i insert the sim in other UEs (mobile phone) and they are working: ping and TCP/UDP

what are the return of the followings?

Hello

I have the same problem with direct ping from our private LTE network to the modem as described above, however, it is with another router, model XR90 (equipped with LTE module EM9190).

Apparently this router doesn’t support direct AT commands. Is there a way to check that information element (at!usbcomp) and change it with Airlink OS API? (or execute AT commands in another way)

Thanks in advance
