EM7305 firmware update issue

Hello,

i downloaded the latest Firmware for the EM7305 card ( EM73xx/MC73xx FW Package Build 4837).
I was not able to flash the generic firmware. But carrier specific firmwares can be flashed successful.

I also tried AT!BOOTHOLD as suggested in this thread. After that “Sierra Wireless QDLoader Port” appeared in the Windows device manager. But the issue remained the same. I also downloaded and tried the older Build 4775, but it’s the same.

Any ideas?

The updater tool of the genereic firmware is somehow different. It has a different icon and also the CLI output looks different from the carrier specific updater tools. I think that’s maybe issue related.

if you think the tool difference makes the failure, you can use 7zip tool to extract the exe file, and then you can use the working fdt tool to download different FW in command prompt.
