Does a airlink wireless router must compliant with REACH certificate other than RoHS certificate?

Hey everyone! Quick question – does anyone know if an Airlink wireless router needs to be REACH certified in addition to RoHS? We all know RoHS covers hazardous substances in electronics, but REACH seems to focus more on chemical safety and long-term exposure. With routers being such a common gadget in every home and office, it’s got me thinking about how they need to meet both standards.

I’ve been researching a bit, but it would be great to hear from someone who’s dealt with this firsthand. My team at Krishna Metallurgical Laboratories is diving into compliance testing, and we’re curious if manufacturers are required to meet both REACH and RoHS when it comes to networking equipment like routers. Any insights would be appreciated!

Hi @alok_negi,

Welcome to our community!

Please let me know specifically which router you are referring to?
For example, the MP70 has compliance documents at the following link:

Thanks,

Thanks a lot. Basically, all kinds of routers. Or is there one that doest not require these compliances?

Hi @alok_negi,

As far as I know, Semtech’s gateway devices all meet compliance requirements. If you have any further concerns, please let me know.

Thanks,
