Chip keeps rebooting

Hi,

We’ve been using the RC7630-1 modules in our products for a few months. Recently 8 of our products stopped working, after further inspection it turns out that the issue was the RC7630-1 modules not responding anymore to any command.

To try to find the reason, i’ve put the chips one by one in the dev-kit (same as this post RC7620 with HL78xx-RC-WP DEV-KIT board - #4 by jyijyi ). Unfortunately, it looks like the chips are stuck in an infinite reboot loop, the RX and CTS led turn on then the module powers off and on just after. I’m using Tera term to communicate with the modules through the CLI of the chips (tried both the USB and UART1 interface), and the COM port is found by my PC for a few seconds only before disappearing, constantly.

What could have put the modules in this state? Is there a way to fix them?

Did you follow the power down sequence mentioned in PTS?

You might need to toggle tp1 pin to manual download mode, and then try to recover it by downloading firmware to it

If it still does not work, you might need to contact distributor to get some extra tool
