Hello
We developed and mass-produced the product featuring the OpenWrt-based AP with LGA-type RC7630 module connected via USB, which has been installed in the field. Unfortunately, an issue occurred where the modem failed to boot properly in products installed in environments with unstable power. The modem’s USB connection repeatedly comes on and off.
Based on this, I suspect that the reboot is caused by a corrupted file-system such as NV or something related to boot, and presume that the modem’s internal OS is TX rather than LE.
The problem is that we are unable to recover the modem. I tried an emergency download using fwdwl-litemipsel after entered EDL mode via hardware pins, but it stopped during the modem upgrade and then did not recover. This is a serious issue, and if we cannot recover the many modems that have been affected, the losses will be severe.
I would appreciate it if could provide any procedures or tools to completely flash the modem.
Any ideas to recover this device?
