We have a product that employs the BC127 (non-HD) module and due to the end-of-life of the module we are investigating the option of some available BC127-HD modules in it’s place. Is there a way to override the requirement that HD firmware is replaced by HD firmware in the case that we want to replace it with non-HD firmware? (Even if we lose the ability to revert back to HD)
why don’t you just use the HD firmware?
Because we have used the non-HD firmware for years in production and this would then change version information and possibly other changes to commands/responses that we would need to complete full regresssion tests for and possible host firmware changes.
That seems to be not the usual way
You might do some test for verification
