BC127-EXT-APTX_1103783 and its capabilities

Hello,
My question is a bit of an inverse of:

BC127-APTX_1103708 Module

I have a design using the BC127-APTX_1103708 module. However, that part is at a 12 week lead on Digikey. Is the BC127-HD_1103709 an appropriate replacement? From a physical footprint /pinout it seems to be. What about in firmware? If I need to downgrade the firmware to Melody 6.1.5, will I need to load Melody 6.1.5 HD instead? I am not using any of the audio functions. Thank you.

Right now, on Digikey you can only find BC127-EXT-APTX_1103783 in stock. What’s interesting, the HD modules are all marked as Obsolete.

Now questions:

1. Do I get it right that BC127-EXT-APTX_1103783 will support APTX as the name suggests?
2. Will it support APTX-HD?
3. What’s the state of the -HD modules? E.g. BC127-HD_1103709, are they indeed EOL or should we expect them to be distributed again? Could you comment on that?
