BC127-EXT antenna circuit for FCC

Hello,

Generally speaking RF modules that support an external antenna will list compatible antennas that the module is tested with during FCC approval.

Ideally I’d like to replicate the BC127 chip antenna circuit on a PCB populated with the BC127-EXT due to the ongoing chip shortage, so that we have the ability to populate either module at build time.

Can Sierra Wireless provide the specs of the filter circuit and antenna part number / characteristics that are populated on the BC127 or the antenna circuit that is used on the BC127-EXT for FCC testing?

Thank you for the information. What I really need is the gain of the antenna of the BC127 or the part number of the antenna.

There is no specific part number or the gain of the antenna. Just choose one which matches the requirements in the document above.
