The issue I have is – our modems can be deployed in different countries and on different carriers. In order to get GPRS connectivity, APN and user name/password have to be entered.
One way is to do at provisioning stage, but this is what I want to avoid.
Is there a way to somehow automatically get the settings? Perhaps from information SIM card. Is there a standard way of doing so?
I assume there is some sort of standard as, for example, iPhone can get on the web by itself as SIM card is changed to a different provider.
