AT+CNMI not working

Hi,

I am using Q2406B and testing it with hyper terminal. I want to receive an indication when a message arrives to modem. i am using AT+CNMI=2,2,0,0,0 command. i dont know exactly what the value of AT+CNMI should be.

i can send SMS with the command AT+CMGS=… with this modem to a mobile phone.

any suggestions?

Awneil, i had seen that many times and tried to do exactly the same, though i can send an SMS with my GSM modem but can not get any message notification of receiving an SMS. when i put the SIM card in my mobile phone then receive previously sent SMSs. :cry:
