ARM and GCC Compiler

Hello friends…

I have a simple question.

What happens if we don’t install ARM compiler and we don’t use it .Is it necessary?It is said optional to install ARM compiler but it is everywhere.Is not GCC compiler necessary for us?

I didn’t install ARM compiler.

Because of not installing it ,I selected GCC Compiler in Open AT Settings menu.This is true?Or always is ARM been selected?

You can just use GCC. Actually, if you want to use ARM, you have to pay for it.

As far a I know, the only advantage of using ARM is that your binary files are 50% smaller than the binary files created by GCC.

So…select GCC as your compiler and have fun… for free !!! heheh
