Hi,
We tried to connect to the computer mistakenly using a crossed RS232 compatible for the Campbell Scientific CR1000. The modem is now unresponsive.
Is there anything we can do?
We tried contacting the company Sierra Wireless, but they haven’t responded to any of our emails.
Has anybody encountered this before?
So connecting a null modem cable rather than a standard RS232 one should not cause the unit to stop working. When you apply power do you see the either/both of the following?
The green LED come on.
The CTS line on the system connector toggle.
If you do then it is a strong indication that the unit is fine.
And you are certain that the correct voltage is being applied at the system connector to run it on and when it is applied the LED does not come on? If this is the case then you will need to return it to who ever you bought it from under RMA as it does sound broken
