[WP7504] Can't Reset User Parition via swiflash

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue resetting the user partition on my WP7504 module. I’m using the command:

swiflash -m "wp750x" -r

It outputs the following:

Detecting USB of the target
DONE
Communicating with the Target
DONE
Switching to firmware download mode
......................................

…and it just keeps outputting periods / dots forever. This is particularly strange, as I reset the user partition just last week without issue. However, I did attempt a new Legato platform installation on this device, so I’m wondering if there’s some factor there.

I’m using a dedicated Debian Linux install, so it’s not in a VM.

Thank you very much in advance for any possible advice/insight!

Hey CoffeeMan64,

I am having the same problem. I’m sure you’ve gotten past this by now, but I got around it by pulling the TP1 pin low before powering on the device. After about 2-3 minutes, I power cycle the device and let TP1 float again, which seems to work, but it’s really annoying. Did you ever resolve this?

Hi @CoffeeMan64,

If you face this issue, forcing module to bootloader mode may be the best practice. Please try the part “Troubleshooting” at link below:
