Hello, I’m running a MC7700 in QMI mode and I can select 2G, 2G/3G, 3G, 4G in the watcher, which is great except for when carriers are running both 3G and 4G services in the same market. When this happens you have to manually switch between 3G or 4G, if you leave the watcher in auto mode and it never selects 4G (stays camped on 3G).
Am I missing out on something? (very likely…) or is just how the watcher is configured?. Not having a 3G/4G mode in the Radio Technology dropdown seems wrong. The watcher also doesn’t indicate when you are using HSPA+ or DC-HSPA+, just say “UMTS” in the service indicator on the main screen.
I’m running Watcher 12.0.1201.2 Build 3355.
I use other SW products like the 313U and the watcher works flawlessly (none of the above issues)
Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated
