UART2 RX buffer of q2686

Hi,
Is there any way to refresh the UART2 RX buffer of q2686 …? becuase some time this q2686 hangs the external device while sending the data … I thought this is because of uart rx buffer problem …

If I remove the device (external device) and connect to the PC through level convertor, then my external device never hangs up .
