I have a MC7355 on a Sprint MVNO. It is provisionned and LTE works fine. SMS is supposedly enabled.
However, sending or receiving SMS doesn’t work
If I try to send in text format with
AT+CMGF=1
at+cmgs=“phonenumer”
I type my message then control-z
I get after a few minutes:
+CMS ERROR: 350
AT+CSCA contains the SMS center, the device is online:

But the registration is weird:
AT+CREG?
+CREG: 0,3
OK
I can try to force it, but it doesn’t seem to help with the error message:
at+creg=1
OK
at+CREG?
+CREG: 1,0
I have seen a similar issue reported on community.netgear.com/t5/AirCar … d-p/977257 but I am none the wiser about sending SMS
I have tried SkyLight, but I get no error message. The SMS count in my “billed” page increase, but I no dot receive any SMS on the target device, or error messages in SkyLight.
Can I please get some help?
Wild idea: could it possibly be related to the simcard? (I know Sprint is a bit special, so I would not be surprised they have “data only” simcards, where SMS settings are fubar)
