I’d like to be able to control a RS-232-controlled power outlet (such as RS232 Controlled Outlet from irblaster.info on Tindie) from my RV50. Is there any way to send commands to the serial port from Telnet or SSH without having to write an ALEOS AF application?

According to Software Configuration User Guide for AirLink RV50, RV50 do not support send AT command via RS232 port

You can using a terminal connection (Telnet) or SSH protocol to send AT command
