One of our software firms is suggesting EE Band 3 is causing issues with the maps layers on the devices
is there a way in the Yaml to either allow the other bands or remove this band from selection
Hi @rfoster,
Welcome to our community!
Could you please let me know which device is experiencing the issue? Additionally, please describe the issue in more detail so I can check it?
Thanks,
Good Morning
thank you for replying ok let me explain further
It is a MG90 5G we are using
We are using EE sims and when the pass a mast and connect to band 3 1800MHZ the connection to the server drops
EE in the UK use the following bands
800MHz (4G)(Band 20)
1800MHz (2G & 4G)(Band 3)
2100MHz (3G & 4G)(Band 1)
2600MHz (4G) FDD (Band 7)
3400MHz (5G)(Band 42)
using Vodafone passing the masts it is fine as Vodafone only use 1800MHZ for 2g
so we want to test if we can blocking band 3 or blocking 1800MZ connections
On the MG90 lCi we can
Select
UTMS ALL
LTE ALL
5G NR ALL
so thats not quite what we need
so is it possible in the wan.yaml on these settings and if so how
bandSettings:
customBandSettingMode: disable
settingForBand: automatic
or another way if not
Hi @rfoster,
After checking, I found that you can restrict to Bands by Custom Band Setting Mode on MG90.
Could you please refer to the Custom Band Setting Mode in the AirLink MG90 Software Configuration Guide at the following link: source.sierrawireless.com/resources/airlink/software_reference_docs/airlink-aleos-mg-series-software-configuration-guide/ and try if it meets your requirements?
Thanks,
